A secluded hot spring by the Rausu River.
Much loved by local fishermen for years for its heat and high quality water.

Please do not use between 5:00 and 7:00am, as this is when the baths are cleaned. There are separate baths and changing rooms for men and women, so women do not need to worry. Water contains sulfur, sodium and chlorides (hydrogen sulfate.) |

On the beach which was the location for the TV show Kita no Kuni Kara: Yuigon 2002.
Separated from the sea only by a ring of rocks.
You need to bathe at low tide, as at high tide it disappears underwater.

Japan's northernmost hot spring.
Located in Aidomari where the paved road ends.

Open from April 25-Sept. 30. May close in the event of typhoons or tidal waves that may cause damage. You can bathe at sunrise and sunset (However, this is not possible when the sea is rough, as waves lap into the baths.) Baths are covered from late June to the end of August. |

Bringing the boat in, by Kakura
When Kakura's father and brother returned from fishing at the beach by the their house,
the whole family would help to bring the boat in.

A foot bath made from a sea urchin fishing boat was opened right behind the Rausu Honmachi Street Station in July 2009!
2010 was opened on June 5.
Its name is Sakana no Jokamachi Honmachi Rausu-Maru, which means "Fish Castle Town, SS Honmachi Rausu".
You can enjoy this foot bath at the foot of the Shiretoko Pass from 9:00am-6:00pm until the end of September.
With the same source as the Kumanoyu Hot Springs, the water is top quality! With the water a toasty 40℃, dunk your feet for a long time and make them nice and warm.
The bath is on private property, so please be considerate and do not leave rubbish or make a lot of noise.
You can use the bath from early July to late September.
