- Amateur anglers will love Rausu!
You can catch righteye flounder or marbled rockfish from the shore, but for a big catch charter a boat.
You'll come back with a massive haul of righteye flounder, halibut, Japanese mackerel, marbled rockfish, cod and more!!
From June to September you can catch Dolly Varden trout.
But don't let your enjoyment stop you from remembering the rules and manners of Shiretoko. -
Advice
From January to March, there's a special program where you can watch Alaska pollock netting
while sampling the Rausu Fishermen's Big Hot-Pot, made from Alaska pollock!
You can't do this anywhere but here, so give it a go! -
